How to play Maths Memory Match

  1. Choose the kind of cards (times tables, addition, fractions to percentages, percentages) and how many pairs.
  2. Flip a card, then flip a second one. If a sum and its answer match, they stay face up.
  3. If they do not match, they flip back. Try to remember what was where.
  4. Match every pair to finish. Your moves, time and a star rating are shown at the end.

Tips and strategy

  • Work out the answers on the cards you flip. That way you recognise matches even before you see both.
  • Start in one corner and flip systematically so you can remember positions.
  • Use the star target: about one and a half times the minimum number of moves gives three stars.
