How to play Mine Logic
- Choose a level and tap any square to begin. The first tap is always safe and opens a clear patch.
- Read the numbers. A 1 means exactly one of its eight neighbours is a mine.
- Flag a mine with a right-click, a long press, or Flag mode. Open the squares you are sure are safe.
- Open every safe square to win. Tap a number whose flags are all placed to open the squares around it at once.
Tips and strategy
- Start at the edges of the cleared patch, where the numbers touch few unopened squares.
- If a 1 has only one closed neighbour left, that neighbour is the mine.
- If a number's flags are all placed, every other neighbour is safe.
- Never guess if a logical move exists. Look at two neighbouring numbers together.

FAQ
Mine Logic: questions
How do you play minesweeper?
Open squares without opening a mine. Each number shows how many of the eight surrounding squares hide a mine. Flag the mines and open all the safe squares to win.
Is the first tap always safe?
Yes. In this game the mines are placed after your first tap, and never on it or on the squares around it.
How do I place a flag on a phone?
Hold a square for a moment, or press the Flag mode button and then tap squares to flag them.
Can you always win by logic alone?
Often, but not always. Sometimes a position needs a guess. Look carefully for a logical move first.
What does the number on a square mean?
How many of the eight squares around it (up, down, left, right and the four corners) hide a mine.
